Background Tracks (Gospel)Along with playing live, Tim also produces background arrangements for other bands and singers. When you can't pull a band together this is a simple, practical and inexpensive way out. This is a sample background track: Note that the background track does not have the melody included, as the singer(s), or in some case other musicians would be playing or singing the melody. Tracks are recorded in the very popular MP3 format allowing you to play them from any MP3 player through your amplification equipment, creating the full-band sound for accompaning a single singer, a group, choir or other solo musician. If you don't currently use mp3s, perhaps you should! They work really well for 'live' performance. An mp3 player is a little device, the size of an apple, you can hold in your hand, and it can hold hundreds of songs. If you wish, you can set the player near the P.A. system and use a remote control - as simple as changing TV channels. Admittedly, you do have to know something about using a computer in order to load the songs onto the player. By normal standards, it is not complicated! All tracks are offered in the key of C+G. There is a sample of each song. (typically intro - verse - 1/2 chorus) There is also an abbreviated list of the form - of choruses and verses etc. You can't hear the entire song online, but you can get a clear idea of what you're buying. Generally speaking , these tracks are in the style of Floyd Cramer - Jim Reeves - and Tim Hallman! Rest assured that the arrangements are logical - ritards where appropriate, short intros, last line or 2 repeated. There are no 'solos' included. (It is not interesting to watch a performer stand there during a background track solo! - unless the singer does something interesting!!!) For now, at least, there are no background singers used. These are 'simple, in good taste' tracks! Ordering is as simple as emailing Tim and letting him know what you need. If you see it among the tracks on this site simply mention the track name in your email. Modifications to the tracks are available, (including key) for a small additional charge., which Tim will make you aware of in advance of purchase. Songs are available on a CD and can be mailed, for an additional charge. Know that Tim will make every effort to see that you are happy with your purchase. He wants you back ordering more and he wants you giving positive feedback so that others will order as well. Unfortunately, refunds on the full-tracks are not possible (unless there are technical issues), so be sure when you order that you are getting what you need. If the track is something that Tim has already arranged the price is just $7.00 CDN for the full-length MP3 file, which will be emailed to you after your payment is received. The easiest way to pay for your purchase is through PayPal and Tim will explain the process in his email back to you confirming your order. Tim Tracks are copyrighted and Tim maintains the rights to the arrangement. You agree to not resell the track and to make use of it strictly for your own performance and enjoyment. |
